Your statement data

When you upload a statement or paste transaction text, the file or text is sent to our server solely to extract a list of merchant names and transaction amounts. We do not store the raw file or the pasted text anywhere. It is discarded the moment parsing is complete. The same applies to the answers you give in the chat flow: they are used to rank cards for that session and are not tied to your identity.

Email address, only if you ask for alerts

You can use RightCard entirely without giving us an email address. If you opt in to card-change alerts, we do store the email address you enter, along with the spending categories, rewards preference, credit-score range, and matched card from that session so we know which changes are relevant to you. That is the only circumstance in which we keep personal data.

Every alert email contains a one-click unsubscribe link that deletes your record immediately. You can also email us to be removed. We do not sell, rent, or share subscriber email addresses.

What else we retain

Aggregate, anonymised data: which card we recommended and the estimated annual cashback for that card. This carries no name, email address, account number, or individual transaction.

Third-party services

We use third-party services for site analytics, error monitoring, advertising measurement, and to send alert emails if you sign up for them. These may collect standard web data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. No financial data from your statement is shared with any third party.

How we make money

RightCard is free to use. We may earn a commission when you apply for a card through a link on this site. This never affects which cards we show you or how they are ranked. Rankings are produced only from the spending information you give us, and we do not accept payment for placement or for a better position. See our Terms for more.

Cookies

We use cookies for site analytics and advertising measurement. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. There is no common standard for how sites should respond to it, so we do not currently change our behaviour based on that signal. Separately, the third-party services described above may use cookies to collect information about your activity across different websites for advertising measurement. You can limit this in your browser settings.
